a Study Case from COMPFEST 17 Product Management Academy 📃
Public healthcare services in Indonesia, particularly at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas), clinic, and small-to-medium hospital levels, face classic challenges: fragmented systems, long queues, healthcare workers exhausted by administrative burdens, and non-real-time service data.
Meanwhile, the community requires fast, connected, efficient, and dignified services. A digital solution is needed that not only records but also transforms the way healthcare services operate to become more integrated, impactful, and humane.
Although CiptaLife has provided positive impact with the above features, there are still several challenges mentioned in the case study that require additional innovation:
Business Sustainability Challenge: CiptaLife faces difficulties in finding new innovations needed to successfully increase benefits for users and profit for the business.
Capacity Prediction Challenge: The current system cannot accurately predict patient surges, causing imbalanced distribution of human resources and suboptimal waiting times across various healthcare facilities. (Hint: think about AI/Machine Learning solutions)
Service Quality Evaluation Challenge: CiptaLife does not yet have an effective mechanism to measure patient satisfaction and ensure equitable access to services across all segments of society.
Data Utilization for Impact Challenge: Despite collecting large healthcare data, CiptaLife has not been optimal in analyzing and utilizing this data to increase broader community health impact.
National Market Leader: Become the number 1 digital health system in Indonesia
Daily Tools for Healthcare Workers: Doctors and midwives are helped, not burdened by the system
Community Health Impact: Data used for improvement of immunization programs, nutrition, pregnant women, etc.
One National Platform: Used by Community Health Centers, Clinics, to Hospitals – interconnected, one national medical record
Collaboration with Universities & Startups: Developing AI modules, decision support systems, and digital community education
